Superior Quality of Service and Network Performance

iDirect's sophisticated Group QoS advanced traffic prioritization dynamically balances the demands of different applications according to their needs and bandwidth availability, across multiple sites and user sub-networks.
Features such as TCP and HTTP acceleration, in addition to local DNS caching, increase performance and maximize user experience.
Service Description
The service provides guaranteed CIR, guaranteed maximal contention and is data rate limited on its maximum data rate. The main characteristics of a standard package are:

Minimum Data Rate: guaranteed minimum data rate always available to VSAT. Min DR is calculated as Maximum DR / contention ratio
Maximum Data Rate: maximum data rate limit for contended services has been set to 2048kbs OB and 512kbps IB for all subscriptions. Decision has been made not to sell lower Max Data Rates and limit customers in maximum performance out of peak. 2048kbps/512kbps provides guarantee of maximum possible performance at any time.
Priority: priority works as weight which is based on allocated CIR ensuring that subscription with higher CIR will always receive higher capacity at any time under any network load.
Fair access: basic services are volume unlimited. The QoS engine will enforce volume usage corresponding to permanent use of CIR.
